New track from SubVibe…

Subvibe have linked up with Fuzion on their latest track ’30 Million’.  It has come out amazingly well.  Absolute banger.  And the best thing about it..?  You can download it for free here.

Check out my interview with SubVibe here.

Take it easy, keep it filthy.

Introducing… SUBVIBE

These guys are massive!  Creeping their way out of the underground they are fast emerging as one of the best Dubstep duos around.  Their dark and hard style is bone-crushing, face-melting Dubstep at it’s best.  Listening to their tracks it’s hard to believe that they have only been producing for just over half a year.  This is SubVibe…

Name, age, location?

Tom Hutchinson and Chris Capper, both 17, Surrey, UK.

How did you get into music production?

‘We’re both avid musicians, both trained in classical and jazz saxophone, and guitar, with crazily wide reaching interests and influences.  We first started producing about 7 months ago (give or take) and that’s really the first time we ever gave it much thought, but we instantly fell in love with it.’

Which producers influence you?

‘Everyone and everything really, in terms of Dubstep we’re talking; Datsik, Excision, Skrillex, Bare Noize, big D’n'B names like Sub Focus and the like, plus the old school originators, Benga, Skream, Artwork, Coki etc.  But our musical influences stretch far beyond production stuff, Tom’s favourate band ever is Muse and Chris isn’t opposed to a little piano bar jazz!’

What inspires you to create music?

‘Anything really, whatever we feel like that day and wherever our fingers fall on the keyboard.  We work well together, and I guess we take inspiration from each other.  But most of all it’s our fans, everyone who subscribes and comments on Youtube and helps us grow, you people make it all worthwhile.’ :)

Which of your tracks is your personal favourite (and why)?

Chris:  ’I love ‘Ominous’ because it’s just… well, my favourite.  It’s something I can’t explain but that tune just has everything in it.  A surprise drop, an ominous melody, a dirty bass and it all fits well together.  However, I still love ‘Noisybugz’ and ‘Explosive Laughter’ because I remember Tom and me literally beaming at each other and thinking ‘YouTube worthy?’  If it wasn’t for those tunes we wouldn’t be here today.’

Tom:  ‘Damn that’s a hard question!  I probably have fondest memories of our earliest tracks like Chris, and I think I enjoyed making ‘Divine Intervention’ the most, simply because it was the first track where I really felt everything had come together.  At the moment though, I’d have to say our Ellie Goulding remix is my favourate, but that’ll probably change every day.’

What have you been working on recently?  Do you have anything due for release soon?

‘We’ve been working on a remix that has been requested by a record company.  ”Tell us more!” we hear you say!  Well, to be honest you’ll have to stay tuned to our channel to hear more about that and to be some of the first to hear it, it should be BIG!  We’ve also got a couple more remixes we’re keeping under wraps, a big new dubstep original and an experimental mixture of Fidget and Gorestep!  All are in the works, but don’t worry, you’ll hear them eventually!’

Any shout outs?

‘Everyone who listens to our music, the producers who we’ve talked to and befriended, the channels like JesusDied4Dubstep, DubstepUploadz, DubMayhemUK, Dubloads and all the rest who have helped to promote our music.  Finally, and most importantly, everyone who CONNECTS with our music.  It’s one thing listening, it’s another thing connecting with it.  We love all the comments and e-mails we recieve about literally anything, and we always make time to reply.  It’s something we always hope to maintain.’

I’m going to start off with the guy’s favourite tracks.  First up is their remix of Ellie Goulding’s ‘The Writer’.  I’m really feeling this tune, I love Ellie Goulding’s voice anyway but put it with some heavy bass and you’re almost always onto a winner.  They haven’t played with the vocals, which is good and they’ve made a brilliantly dark backing for them.  The production quality is excellent too…  You can download it FREE here.

Next is ‘Ominous’, an aptly named track.  I can see why Chris says this is his favourite one, it’s a banger.  Very deep, dark and pretty f*cking nasty..!

You can download it here ($1.50 from CDBaby).

‘Feeble Efforts’ is next, the first track that I ever heard by these guys.  Very Flux Pavillion-y with a face-shredding drop, this remains my personal favourite from SubVibe…

Lastly we have SubVibe’s remix of Rihanna’s ‘Only Girl’.  I wasn’t expecting too much when I first pressed play on this, how wrong I was…  This track has almost everything you could want, infectious beat, deep bass, strong vocals…  Love it!  Unfortunately the download limit has been reached but it’s definitely worth adding to your favourites…

No doubt there are some big tunes coming from these guys in the near future so hit the links below and get locked in!
