DJ Eshin first began DJing in 2000 by spreading hip-hop beats to house parties in the New York City area. He first dove into the electronic music scene back in 1996 and has since evolved into a notable Drum & Bass and Dubstep DJ, Promoter and Record Label Co-Owner.
Eshin made a big splash in 2004 by launching the eclectic Wednesday night weekly ‘No Jacket Required’ in NYC with DJ/promoting partner Doctor Faustus. While the weekly finished its run a year after its launch, ‘No Jacket Required’ continued as a NYC monthly event, bringing in prominent DnB talent from around the world, as well as NYC’s finest. Today, Eshin is a fixture in the U.S. Drum & Bass/Dubstep circuit and is currently collaborating with Direct Drive, which has been a staple in the NYC dance scene for well over a decade, and had also worked with DB’s monthly soulful DnB event ‘The Secret Night of Science’ previously. Along with DJ/Producer Trigon, he also co-hosts NYC’s premiere DnB /Dubstep radio show ‘Outside the Cube’, which can be heard on prominent UK station Bassjunkees Radio. Spanning from melodic and dubby sounds to jump-up and dancefloor smashers, Eshin showcases the ability to explore multiple styles in his sets. Eshin has played alongside international talent including Goldie, Total Science, Marcus Intalex, Pendulum, Sub Focus, Chase & Status, Klute, London Elektricity, 16Bit and Borgore, among many others.
In 2010, he partnered with Trigon to launch Profound Audio, a new record label with the mission of promoting and releasing the best in bass music. With the label’s initial releases already getting support from Skream, Benga, Rusko and other top artists, Profound Audio is poised to explode on to the scene in 2011. – Taken from Eshin’s press pack.

Introducing… FIGURE
I heard one of Figure’s tracks a couple of months ago and after following him for a little while it became clear that this guy is set to be big! His tracks are consistently good and from the previews of forthcoming tunes that I have heard the best is yet to come. I caught up with him on Facebook and grabbed a quick interview…

‘Joshua / Figure, 25, Evansville, Indiana.’
How did you get into Music production?
‘I started by making Hip-Hop instrumentals and Turntablism… Got bored and started making electronic music.’
Which Producers influence you?
‘My prodcution influences change daily… I always take pull from really good bands and Music outside of this culture. I love finding young new heads making really good music, that makes me get up earlier and work harder.’
What inspires you to create Music?
‘I get inspired by so many things… From a Movie to a DJ set I hear. I’m ‘that guy’ that makes noises and patterns in my iPhone recorder the moment i get an idea. But I never look in one place for influence , I let it come to me.’
Which of your Tracks is your personal favourite (and why)?
‘My favorite tracks I have made are the Monsters of Drumstep tunes… They are 100% me and they represent a huge step I took in the industry.’
What have you been working on recently? Anything due for release soon?
‘I’ve been working on so many things. A couple secret collabs and projects… but I’m half done with the next Monsters EP, which I’m super excited for… and as always… random freebies and bootlegs to come soon!’
Any shout outs you want to do?
‘Yeah… The main shout out needs to go to my amazing girl, she keeps me grounded and smiling…. and a massive hug towards my manager that is making all of this snowball so well.’
